The “Jelly Cabinet” is Restyled

Fondly referred to as The Jelly Cabinet, this cabinet had been in my client’s family for 3 generations. Her grandfather made it for his new bride many years ago. My client longed to give it an updated look so that it could continue to be showcased in her dining room.

After stripping it, we found that the wood had lots of areas where wood filler had been used, so staining it a light color was not going to give the look we wanted. We decided to paint the side panels and white wash the front to showcase the beautiful wood grain. We finished the top with a dark brown/black stain.
